London - Day three and four

Day three began for Delmer and I by taking our broken computer to a PC World shop on Oxford Street where we found that they wouldn't be able to fix it in the time we still had in London... so we filed the hope of using the laptop for the rest of journey. We then made our way to the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square and then home to a late, late lunch at a Dim Sum restaurant not far from the Tube. We finished up our day with some souvenir shopping and then met up with Ron for a later supper at a nearby Mexican restaurant.

Day four was a wrap-up day for us. Delmer and I toured Kensington Palace and then roamed the High Street shopping area where I found a fantastic pair of rose coloured cat-eye glasses. We took a bus ride around our neighbourhood and discovered the famous pub, the Churchill Arms (Winston Churchill's favourite pub). While we so wanted to have a beer there, there wasn't even room for an extra mouse. Ron made his way to Madame Tussuad's Wax Museum and the SOHO district. We all met up with my friend's daughter, Heather and her mate, Andy, for a delicious dinner and some good conversation at their favourite local pub, the Prince Edward.

We had a wonderful time in London. We enjoyed the local food including fish and chips, bangers and mash and bubble and squeak. We sample a number of beers and I discovered pear cider!
