Burgundy Bound

We traveled to the heart of the Burgundy wine country and the small city of Beaune on Saturday morning. We are surrounded by vineyards, some of which have tastings.

I am enjoying the most delicious French cuisine thus far, eating beef cheeks the last night and canard (duck) this afternoon. I will try to eat light tonight, but no guarantees. Delmer, Fred and Sandra are enjoying the food as well, having fish, seafood, chicken and beef dishes.

We traveled through the vineyards countryside earlier and toured Beaune this afternoon, most notably the Hospices de Beane, a medieval hospital (UNESCO world heritage site).
