Budapest - Day two

We have had an excellent day (thus far). We had early breakfast, then headed out on foot over the Chain Bridge to the Hungarian National Gallery which is located up the hill in the Royal Palace. We took the easy way up in a lift. The gallery was well worth the entrance price and the city views were breathtaking. We then walked to the nearby Matyas Church but were unable to get inside because it was booked up all day with weddings.

We are having a glass of wine and will be going out for dinner later. We hope to secure a spot along the Danube for an evening of good food and people watching.
