Last night Delmer had the "stuffed cabbage" or better known to us as "cabbage roll" last night. I had a little taste, but Delmer was like a "dog on a bone" and very unwilling to share very much.
Tonight was my turn for the stuffed cabbage so we headed down to the restaurants along the Danube for a late Saturday evening supper. Well I found the mother load. Picture this: one very large cabbage roll mildly seasoned with fresh dill and smoked pork meat, nestled on a bed of delicious cabbages (seasoned sauerkraut), garnished with sour cream, flanked by a tender pork chop and a small smoked sausage and accompanied by a fresh cucumber salad. In the background was an Hungarian band playing lively traditional music. Unforgettable!!!!
